She said I was so calm and composed during my surges that she had no idea I was so far along.

Dear Melissa,

I purchased your program two and a half years ago from the US when I was 3 months pregnant with my first boy, and I later gave birth to my sweet 8 lbs 1 oz hypnobub. I had an amazing experience with a natural hospital birth, but I knew that there were things I would do differently the second time around.

On December 11th 2020, now in England and pregnant with my second, I woke up around 8:30 am and started to feel surges. We had decided on a home birth since Covid regulations would not have allowed my husband to be present in the hospital delivery room. The atmosphere in the room was amazing: we diffused essential oils, played Christmas music, along with my hypnobirthing tracks, and my two year old sat close by, somewhat aware of what was going on.

I breathed through my surges and did my visualisations, confident that my body was progressing well with the labour.

My midwife arrived with a student midwife around 1 pm and after checking my vitals and baby vitals, she told...

I honestly could not believe what had just happened. It felt like I had the most amazing experience.

Hi guys!

Positive birth story:

We welcomed Adeline into the world at 311pm on the 20th Jan. 6 hours labouring all up. 37+1 weeks and 6.6 pounds.

I was in bed at 615am in the morning and ruptured my membranes spontaneously. My husband was out on a bike ride at the time so I called him to come home. I only had slight period-like discomfort at the time. I went back to bed for an hour with my tens machine on. I spoke with my OBGYN who came to the house on the way to work at 745. Everything was fine, but she wanted me to go to the hospital at 900am to have the monitoring put on and check things out.

At 900 I started having some tightening which I assumed were contractions and we started making our way to the hospital. At 945 the midwife told me I was in established labour and I wouldn’t be going home. Everything was very bearable at the time and my breathing was all I needed to get through surges that were 3 mins apart.

At 1130 we were...

I had three pages of birth preferences and knew exactly what was going on at every moment thanks to Hypnobubs.

Hi Melissa!

This message is long overdue as we brought our sweet Norah into the world on July 4th. First, I want to start off by thanking you for making Hypnobubs. I cannot imagine what my birth would have been like without the mindset I had thanks to you, my nurses and midwife, my husband ,Christopher, and our little girl Norah.

At 3:30am on July 4th my water broke. I wasn’t quite positive it was my water so I laid still in bed for a little bit until I decided to switch sides I was laying on. This is when I knew, as I started to feel like I was peeing myself.

I rolled over to Christopher and woke him up. I said “Babe, babe, I think it’s my water.” He sprung up so fast! I just continued to lay there in bed while he gathered up our things to put in the car. I finally decided to get up. I had an infection in which I would need to come in as soon as my water ruptured, the doctor had told me. I wanted to labor at home as much as possible but the one...

I feel like I could do this all again because of the incredible hypnobirthing techniques that I armed myself with.

My Hypnobirth Story

Zara Maeve born 29/10/20 at 2:49am. 2856grams and 47cm long.

I decided to sign up to the hypnobirthing Australia course online early on in my pregnancy as I knew I wanted a calm and controlled birth experience (I had heard many good things about the course). I committed to listening to the MP3s regularly and practiced my breathing throughout my third trimester. I was feeling confident and ready going into the birth of my first bub.

My labour started just before 5pm last Wednesday with surges that felt like period pain. I had similar surges at 3am that morning but they disappeared and I didn’t feel any for the rest of the day until now, so I wasn’t sure if this was the real thing or false labour pains so I carried on with my evening.

I started cooking dinner around 5:30pm but I could feel that the intensity of my surges was definitely building and they were getting longer. Then I noticed I had lost some of mucus plug while I was pottering around in the...

It empowered me to make decisions and decline interventions I didn't think was necessary

I just wanted to share my experience with Hypnobirthing Australia. THANK YOU!!

I gave birth 3.5 months ago in the middle of the pandemic. We had planned a homebirth due to fear COVID-19 and at the time- not knowing how the virus was going to affect the hospital system in Australia. At 37 weeks - we made the decision to home birth with our group practice midwives. This was my second pregnancy. My first birth was through private obstetrics which failed us. A stressful delivery, no birth confidence which concluded in a NICU baby due to infant stress (meconium aspiration), and a domino effect of medical intervention including an epidural. This first birth left me with birth trauma, which impacted breastfeeding, and resulted in post-natal depression.

My second pregnancy I was determined to have a completely different experience. And opted to have give birth through a group practice midwifery. At 37 weeks, I started the hypnobirthing course, as I had decided to home birth and knew I...

I didn’t even make it to the birthing suite!

My little Hypnobub - Isla Mae

This was my second baby and second hypnobirth. Whilst this was a much quicker arrival to the world, it was still just as magical thanks to hypnobirthing.

My labour commenced with regular surges 2 mins apart at midday whilst I was playing at the park with my first hypnobub. We were relaxed and had the park to ourselves so we continued to play as I breathed through the surges. After about 30 mins and the surges continuing at a regular pace, I thought it was best to head home and get ready to meet baby #2.

I phoned my partner who met us at home and we had lunch together - the last time as a family of three. I started to breathe through the surges on my birth ball while listening to calm music in the background. It was a beautiful peaceful time at home and we all waited to welcome baby. My son kissed my belly and told me it “will be ok mum” and he went off to bed. I cried when I put him to bed as I knew this was the...

Had only really watched the introduction .. my waters broke at 1 pm

Short and sweet post from me as I’m a little busy now 😂... (started out to be)

I purchased the Hypnobirthing online course on Saturday night in the hope to use my maternity leave wisely by educating and preparing myself for birth.

Had only really watched the introduction .. my waters broke at 1 pm on Monday and I gave birth to my 36week6dayer at 5:55pm.

Thankfully I had downloaded the app and played the first mp3 over and over again from my drive to the hospital all the way through delivery.

My hypnobirthing experience was the most empowering moment of my life!

**Birth story
My hypnobirthing experience was the most empowering moment of my life!
After wanting to avoid an induction this time I went into labour at 39 + 2. Being able to labour at home was amazing, I had all my affirmations set up around the house, was able to use the shower and the bath and i felt so comfortable and relaxed listening to the tracks (prompts for birthing was pretty much on repeat).

After labouring at home for about 10 hours we decided it was time to go to the hospital where I was only 4cm - however with each surge I could feel baby moving down and I knew things were progressing very quickly! Before I knew it I was in transition, I must admit I did lose control a bit at this stage and put my thongs on ready to walk out of the hospital (not sure where I was going to go 😅) I made it into the birthing suite just in time, my body naturally started pushing with each surge so I jumped on the bed on all 4s and in 7 mins I caught my baby boy Max! It was the most...

"I was able to let go of the outcome and surrender to my body".

Dear Melissa,

I wanted to write this email to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I heard about hypnobithing through a friend when I felt pregnant and I decide to do the course. But things got a bit complicated due to COVID-19 and my husband now works in Antarctica got stuck down there and I decide to leave Sydney where we live to come and give birth in my home country Argentina.

When I arrived I was 28 weeks pregnant and the country went into lock down. I felt very isolated and lonely. That is when I look into hypnobirthing online courses and found yours. I decide to do the course and in a way it was good to be in lock down because I dedicated all my time to do the meditations, afirmaciones and find my birth  partner( that end up being my best friend).

The 24 of June of a snowy night Amaro was born after a 10 hour calm, easy and completely natural birth. I did most all the labor at home and arrive at the hospital to give birth. The tools I learn in the course guided...
